PROJECT FITNESS CHALLENGE:
Interested in shaking up your normal workout routine? The Project Fitness Challenge will help you change it up and crush plateaus through helping you learn new and advanced exercises to add to your repertoire.
This Fitness Challenge is a performance enhancement program involving jumping jacks, box jumps, burpees, sit ups, kettle bells, and cardio endurance training. Individuals or groups can sign up and compete for a healthy bag full of prizes.
For eight weeks, workouts will be given each week to all participants that will force you to step outside of your regular routine. Participants’ fitness level will be assessed and scored at the beginning and at the end of the 8 weeks. If you are looking for a change, THIS IS IT!!
- The assessment takes exactly 17 minutes. Participants get one point for each, fully completed rep, for each exercise. Assessment dates and times will be Announced Two weeks prior to the Fitness Challenge Power Up Workouts. Make the necessary changes to win this fitness challenge!

This year’s “Healthy Socials” will feature the following:
- Healthy Happy Hour
Happy hour with a focus on health and fitness, bringing together health enthusiasts, professionals, and the general community in a cooperative, relaxed, and fun environment. Enjoy drinks and healthy catered options from The Water Shed and other vendors. Enter the raffle to win prizes and discounts on fitness classes and training.

These healthy socials will serve as an opportunity for people to sign up for the Fitness challenge “Power-up Workout,” start date to be announced; individuals or groups of people will sign up and compete for a healthy bag full of prizes. This will be a performance enhancement program, which calls for jumping jacks, box jumps, burpees, sit ups, kettle bells, and cardio endurance training. There will be workouts given to all participants to complete each week that will force each participant to step outside of their regular routine. Participants are encouraged to perform these workouts at least once during the week the work is given out. The participants are expected to make the necessary changes to win the fitness challenge. Beginning February 4th, Project Fitness will be offering a series of customized, dynamic and progressively more intense 4 week Tough Mudder Fitness Camps. Tough Mudder Fitness Camps will be held on the MBT (Metropolitan Branch Trail), just a mere block from the New York Ave/Florida Ave/Galludet University metro station on the Red Line. We’ll be meeting in front of the Harris Teeter located at 1201 1st St NE (1st and M Sts NE). There will be one Tough Mudder Fitness Camp offered every Saturday at 9am. Your initial registration fee is $99 for the first month of fitness camp sessions followed by $99 for subsequent 4 week sessions until the Tough Mudder Pennsylvania event May 13th 2012.
